The Glasgow Wine School Terms & Conditions

For scheduled Glasgow Wine School Courses, EXCLUDING WSET COURSES -

  • All bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.
  • Your booking is not secured until payment is received – all courses and tastings must be paid for in advance.
  • All bookings are refundable up to 4 weeks prior to the event date. The full amount will be refunded less a 5% Administration Charge.
  • Up to 2 weeks prior to your event you may request a refund subject to £10 administration fee, and subject to your place(s) being sold to another person. You may swap to another event at no additional cost.
  • Within 2 weeks of your event you may, should you not be able to attend, swap to another evening at no additional cost. No refunds will be provided.
  • Within 1 week of the event you may, should you not be able to attend, go onto a standby list for an alternative event. We will confirm your booking (subject to places being available) 3-4 days prior to the event starting. No refunds will be provided.
  • Within 24 hours of your event, any changes to your booked event are not allowed. No alternatives will be offered or refunds provided.
  • If you do not attend a booked course or event, no refund will apply except under exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of The Glasgow Wine School.
  • On the 8-week Introductory World of Wine Course, and the 4-week Regional Course – if you elect to miss an evening (minimum 36 hours notice) you may either send a substitute, pick up the missed session on a subsequent Course, or obtain a credit value valid against any of our Glasgow Wine School Courses and Tastings.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course or event.

 For WSET Level 1,2,3 Award Courses - 

  • All bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.
  • Your booking is not secured until payment is received – all courses and tastings must be paid for in advance.
  • All bookings are refundable up to 8 weeks prior to the event date. The full amount will be refunded less the cost of WSET materials and a 5% Administration Charge.
  • Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your place.
  • You can transfer your place to another date, if there is space available on that date, and if we are able to re-sell your place if request is made within 8 weeks of start of course.
  • Entry Requirements for Examination Courses: Candidates must be over the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in the country where the examination is being held, or have obtained parental consent, but will not be eligable to complete the tasting assessments.
  • Candidates are advised to hold the WSET® Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits before studying for the WSET® Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits.

For Corporate & Private Tastings -

  • A non-returnable deposit of £100 plus any venue charge is required to secure the date.
  • Full payment must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event and no refund can be paid within 2 weeks of the event date

We reserve the right to ask any person to leave any event if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable or disruptive to others.

We do not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 and will if we consider you to look under 25 may ask for suitable photo Id (Passport, Driving License or a Government approved PASS Card).
